Extracurricular

Saxon Hill School offers several extracurricular opportunites ranging from short-term activites to summer camps. Parents can participate in these opportunities by teaching an Enrichment Monday class or leading tours at Chapin Apple Orchard.

Enrichment Mondays

Saxon Hill School offers an Enrichment Mondays program as an option for enrolled students. Enrichment Mondays typically run in 8-week increments, and give students an opportunity to explore a new activity in depth, in a familiar location, with some of their friends. Activities offered in the past have included gymnastics, dance, foreign language, and art. Parent-volunteers often teach Enrichment Mondays. Fees in addition to regular tuition.

Summer Camp

Saxon Hill Summer Adventure Camps for children ages 4 to 9 years take place during June and July. Children explore the natural world through hands-on activities. Our programs include hiking, art, nature activities, music and dance, gardening, yoga, critter collecting, and plenty of time for free play and exploration. Fees in addition to regular tuition.

Chapin Apple Orchard Tours

Saxon Hill School teachers and parents oversee and staff educational programs provided at the Chapin Apple Orchard in Essex, VT. These programs are offered to Saxon Hill students and to schools in the surrounding communities.
