Playground Project

The Saxon Hill School is currently planning a natural playground. Natural playgrounds offer children an opportunity to learn, play, share and develop imagination in an outdoor setting. We are currently in the design phase. During this time students, teachers and the community at large are working with landscape designers Jon Adams-Kollitz and Danielle Allen to re-design our outdoor space to take better advantage of our already incredible natural setting. In addition to some traditional playground equipment our outdoor space currently includes a sledding hill, river walk, "Coyote Den," "Glass House," sculpture garden, and meeting ring.
